MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006945 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'paint brush management device.'

Inventor(s) include Prabhjeet Kaur; Nisha Kumari; Aksat Kapoor; Jiya Kumar; Dr. Inderpreet Kaur; Raj Kumar; and Khushi Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A paint brush management device comprises of a cylindrical hollow body 1 developed to accommodate paint to be utilized by a user for painting a fixed surface and carved with a curved-shaped groove 2, a touch enabled to give input commands for securing and cleaning the paint brush, ultrasonic sensors for detecting thickness of the bristles, a motorized slider 5 for translating the plates 3 towards/away from each other in view of firmly gripping the bristles between the plates 3, thus holding the brush with the body 1, a camera 6 for detecting dimensions of handle of the paint brush, a first curved-shaped extendable member 7 via a motorized hinge 8, for tilting the member 7 towards the member 7 to allow a motorized 7 configured at outer side of the body 1 via a motorized hinge 8, and a motorized clamp 9 to grip the handle."
