MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641020801 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on Feb. 23, for 'pain memory mapping tool.'

The tool captures patient-reported pain characteristics including location, intensity, quality, duration, frequency and triggering factors, and associates them with temporal and contextual data to generate a personalized pain memory map. The system enables longitudinal tracking of pain patterns facilitating identification of chronicity, flare-up trends and response to therapeutic interx^entions, The invention may be implemented as a digital platform, wearable-assisted system or clinical assessment interface for use in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, pain management and neurological care. By transforming subjective pain experiences into structured, analyzable data, the Pain Memory Mapping Tool supports clinical decision-making, treatment personalization and outcome evaluation, thereby improving understanding and management of both acute and chronic pain conditions."
