MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018891 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'packed food container opening device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Meenakshi Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A packed food container opening device comprises of a platform 1 installed on a fixed surface and arranged with a touch enabled screen 2 for enabling a user to give input commands where the food container is to be placed in contact with a first plate 3, a second plate 4 assembled with a C-shaped extendable member 5, a holographic projection unit 6 for guiding user in positioning food container in alignment with member 5, a touch sensor for detecting presence of food container in contact with first plate 3, a camera 8 for capturing multiple images of food container, an L-shaped telescopically operated rod 12 assembled with a motorized clipper 13 that grips a free-end attached with foil lid and a DC (Direct Current) electric motor for rotating rod 12 in a manner to pull off foil lid, thus opening food container."
