MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547087933 A) filed by Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company, Inc., Tokyo, on Sept. 16, for 'oxygen scavenger package, air-permeable packaging material for oxygen scavenger, and method for producing same.'
Inventor(s) include Sato Daiki; Watanabe Risa; and Masuyama Tomohiro.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An oxygen scavenger package 100 comprises an oxygen scavenger 30 and an air-permeable packaging material 10 housing the oxygen scavenger 30. The air-permeable packaging material 10 has a configuration including, in this order: an outer layer 11 comprising, in this order, a base material layer 11a and a welded layer 11b and having no through holes; an intermediate layer 13 containing a nonwoven fabric; and an inner layer 15 having through holes H. The air-permeable packaging material 10 does not contain fluorine. The melting point of a resin constituting the nonwoven fabric is a temperature that is higher by 50 C or more than the melting point of a resin constituting the welded layer 11b or the melting point of a resin constituting the inner layer 15, whichever is higher. The thickness t of the nonwoven fabric is 0.20 to 0.42 mm inclusive."
