MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004049 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 19, 2024, for 'oven tray handling assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Harjeevan Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An oven tray handling assistive device, comprising an elongated body 1 having a first attached with a handle 9 gripped by user for positioning a C-shaped member 4 attached with second portion 3 in contact with an oven tray to remove from the oven, a camera 5 mapped on the body 1 detects thickness of tray, three to four pneumatic links 6 each equipped with a suction cup 7 for securing body 1 with tray, a push- button 10 crafted on handle 9 which is pressed by user for energizing an electromagnetic spring 8 get compressed for pulling body 1 towards handle 9 to take tray out from oven, a temperature sensor positioned on body 1 detects temperature in surroundings, and four flaps 11 configured with body 1 via a pivot joint which deploys flaps 11 away from each other for preventing user's hand from direct heat from tray."
