MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311089821 A) filed by Shoolini University Of Biotechnology And Management Sciences, Solan, Himachal Pradesh, on Dec. 29, 2023, for 'ovel z-scheme ag/agbr/scn photocatalyst with sulfur doped gcn for efficient visible-light organic pollutant degradation.'

Inventor(s) include Anita Sudhaik; Aftab Aslam Parwaz Khan; Pankaj Raizada; and Pradeep Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses the synthesis of a Z-scheme Ag/AgBr/SCN nanocomposite for enhanced visible-light-driven Peroxymonosulphate (PMS) assisted degradation of phenol. The nanocomposite exhibited a degradation efficiency of up to 99%. The incorporation of nanocomposite, AgBr, and SCN taken in the preparation of the photocatalyst are in a ratio of 1:2, respectively. This approach is known for its low cost, non-toxicity, recyclability and economic sustainability."
