MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521134667 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Dec. 31, 2025, for 'orthopedic post-operation care device.'

Inventor(s) include Shaik Mohammed Khaja; Gujjari Abhishek; Dr. Madhu Shukla; Simrin Fathima Syed; Vipul Ladva; Akshay Ranpariya; and Neel Dholakia.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An orthopedic post-operation care device comprising an inverted U-shaped frame 101 with a plurality of motorized wheels 102 over the base position of the frame 101, a user interface installed in a computing unit wirelessly connected to the frame 101, enabling a user to provide input regarding patient information, an inspection unit 106 attached to an inner section of the frame 101 via a slidable robotic linkage 107 to maneuver around an affected area of the patient wound, a testing unit installed with the frame 101 to collect wound samples, a dressing unit installed on a ceiling portion of the frame 101 to remove dressing, an X-ray unit installed on the frame 101 to monitor healing of the patient's bones and a medicine administering unit installed on the frame 101 to administer medications based on wound progress."
