MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641018308 A) filed by Alle, Uday Kumar; and Dudam, Sailaja, Jagtiyal, Telangana, on Feb. 18, for 'orthodontic facemask apparatus and method of implementation thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Alle, Uday Kumar; and Dudam, Sailaja.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An orthodontic facemask apparatus (100) and a method (200) for real time monitoring, that includes a frame (102) configured to be worn on a face of a subject. A force sensing unit (106) is arranged at an elastic traction interface to measure orthodontic tensile force applied through the elastic engagement member (104) in real time. The force sensing unit (106) includes a force sensor (106a) positioned in-line with an elastic traction path to generate electrical signals corresponding to an applied force magnitude. A control unit (108) comprising a processor (108-1) processes the electrical signals, compares force magnitude against a predetermined threshold, activates an alert mechanism (112) upon threshold deviation, and stores historical force data for compliance reporting. A display panel (110) is connected to the control unit (108) to display real-time force feedback, enabling objective verification and adjustment of therapeutic forces during wear."
