MUMBAI, India, Feb. 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202623005451 A) filed by Organoera Industries Pvt. Ltd., Pune, Maharashtra, on Jan. 19, for 'organic liquid shoe polish formulation and a process of preparation thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Rushikesh Ashok Labade; and Narayan Mariba Ghangaonkar.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 27, under issue no. 09/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is an organic liquid shoe polish formulation using waste fruit peels. The liquid formulation comprises5-15 ml % banana peel extract, 5-15 ml% of castor oil, 3-5 gm % acacia gum, 7-9 gms% of rock salt, 1-2 gms of activated charcoal/katha, 5-7 ml% of glycerin, 5-15 ml % of ethanol, and water q.s, The organic liquid shoe polish is made with waste banana peels which harness discarded banana peels to produce an organic shoe polish represents a significant stride towards environmental sustainability."
