MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517054366 A) filed by Suncoal Industries Gmbh, Ludwigsfelde, Germany, on June 5, for 'organic fillers with thioether linkages.'
Inventor(s) include Sekar, Priyanka; Podschun, Jacob; Schmaucks, Gerd; Stucker, Alexander; Blume, Anke; and Talma, Auke Gerardus.
The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an organic filler with a 14C-content in a range of from 0.20 to 0.45 Bq/g of carbon and having a BET surface area in a range of 10 to 200 m /g, wherein at least a part of its aliphatic hydroxyl groups being present in the chemical structure of the organic filler has been substituted with a covalently bonded sulfur atom(s)-containing organic residue, wherein at least one sulfur atom within said organic residue is adjacent to a carbon atom, such that aliphatic carbon-sulfur-carbon linkages in the chemical structure of the organic filler have been formed and are present, to a rubber composition comprising at least one rubber and at least one filler component, a vulcanizable rubber composition additionally comprising a vulcanization system, a vulcanized rubber composition obtainable therefrom, as well as to a use of the aforementioned filler for the production of (vulcanizable) rubber compositions and to a use of such rubber compositions for the production of tires and/or technical rubber articles."
