MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541081647 A) filed by Beml Limited, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Aug. 28, 2025, for 'optimized integrated gear system for reliable power transmission.'

Inventor(s) include Baranithar. S; Raghu Vamsi. P; M. Jackson Phinni; and C. Karthikeya Muruga Priyan.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to the optimized self-lubricating PTO gear system (100) with unified shaft gear mechanism for improved power transfer efficiency and enhanced durability. The invention significantly eliminate failure modes such as keys failure, snap ring failure, failure due to misalignment between shaft (103) and gear rotational axes, manufacturing process such as Shaft milling, Shaft OD grinding, snap ring groove cutting, keyway cutting and finishing, separate heat treatment processes for gear (101) as well as shaft etc. It reduce loose parts such as keys (102) and snap rings and assembly time and errors and by eliminating / reducing several manufacturing process and components, saves cost."
