MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611001254 A) filed by Maharishi Markandeshwar,Ambala, Haryana, on Jan. 6, for 'optimized formulation of nutrimix-infused hot chocolate spheres.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sukriti Singh; Suman; Dr. Anuradha Mishra; Anuj Rana; Vanshika; Yashdev Kamboj; and Akshita.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an optimized formulation of Nutrimix infused hot chocolate spheres designed as a functional food product that combines indulgence with enhanced nutrition. The formulation incorporates a proprietary Nutrimix blend comprising oats, chickpeas, moong beans, flax seeds, almonds, cashews, jaggery, fox nuts, and walnuts, which is roasted, ground, and proportionally blended to deliver proteins, dietary fiber, omega fatty acids, antioxidants, and minerals. The Nutrimix is encapsulated within tempered chocolate spheres selected from white, dark, or milk chocolate, providing a palatable delivery system that encourages milk consumption while overcoming aversion to plain nutrient sources. Physicochemical analysis demonstrates improved product stability with lower moisture content (3.74%), reduced fat content (9.97%), higher ash content (7.25%), and comparable protein levels (15.16%) relative to conventional hot chocolate bombs. The process includes roasting, grinding, blending with natural emulsifiers, and enrobing with double chocolate coating, followed by advanced packaging for shelf stability. The invention is distinguished by its novelty in transforming a low nutrient confection into a nutrient dense functional food, systematically addressing challenges of dissolution, caloric density, scalability, and sensory appeal, thereby aligning with health conscious lifestyles and promoting healthier dietary practices."
