MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517091443 A) filed by Lmi Technologies Inc., Burnaby, Canada, on Sept. 24, for 'optical measurement system.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a displacement sensor, for example as used in 3D sensors for measuring the three-dimensional shape of an object. A diffraction grating is used to reduce the angle of incidence of measurement light on a light sensor, such as an image sensor, thereby improving the performance of the light sensor. The displacement sensors of the present invention include sensors based on triangulation and coaxial sensors."
