MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517048687 A) filed by Mutsubishi Rubber Co. Ltd., Hyogo, Japan, on May 20, for 'opening/closing member.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is an opening/closing member comprising a top surface portion which covers an opening in a closed state in which the opening is blocked, a grip portion which extends on an outer edge of the top surface portion and grips an outer circumference of an opening end portion of a container body in the closed state, and a depressurization passage which passes through to an inside of a space in a tube shape formed in the grip portion so as to be installed in the grip portion and depressurizes the space. The top surface portion includes an inner surface which faces the inside of the container body in the closed state in which the opening is blocked. The inner surface includes an inner-surface toroidal region in a toroidal shape extending along an inner circumference of the opening end portion of the container body. The inner-surface toroidal region includes a protruding region portion provided with a plurality of protruding portions which protrude from the inner surface and a flat region portion devoid of the protruding portions."
