MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514024665 A) filed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Shizuoka, Japan, on March 19, for 'oil level gauge support structure of internal combustion engine.'
Inventor(s) include Torii Yusuke.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[Object] Provided is an oil level gauge support structure of an internal combustion engine capable of improving the support rigidity of an oil level gauge to thereby suppress the vibration of the oil level gauge and suppress the generation of abnormal noise. [Solution] A chain case 5 attached to a cylinder block 2 has a chain case body 5A facing a front end of the cylinder block 2 and a side wall portion 5B bent in a crankshaft direction from both ends of a width direction of the chain case body 5A perpendicular to the crankshaft direction and fastened to a flange portion 2F, and the side wall portion 5B is provided with an oil level gauge insertion hole 11 through which an oil level gauge 10 is inserted into the engine 1."
