MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517050987 A) filed by Mitsubishi Pencil Company, Limited, Tokyo, on May 27, for 'oil-in-water ink composition for writing utensils.'

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An aqueous ink composition for writing utensils according to the present invention comprises an aqueous phase and an oil phase that is dispersed, in the form of an oil-in-water emulsion, in the aqueous phase; at least one of the oil phase and the aqueous phase contains a coloring material; the oil phase contains an oxygen removing agent; the content ratio of the oxygen removing agent is 3% by mass or more relative to the mass of the oil phase; and the content ratio of the oxygen removing agent in the aqueous phase is 1.5% by mass or less relative to the mass of the aqueous phase."
The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 28, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/042486.
