MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411071009 A) filed by Chandigarh Pharmacy College, Mohali, Punjab, on Sept. 19, 2024, for 'ocular motility assessment system.'

Inventor(s) include Aryantika Sharma; and Navneet Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An ocular motility assessment system, comprising a transparent frame 101 developed to be worn by a user, and constructed with a pair of rims 102 connected with each other via a supporting link 103 that rests on nasal area of the user, an IR (Infrared) camera 104 mounted on the frame 101 identify distinct iris patterns, a display unit 105 arranged on a cuboidal body 109 presents a series of images/videos on the display unit 105, an IR (Infrared) sensor 106 mounted on the body 109 monitor stability of user's head during assessment process, a pen torch 107 connected to an extendable link 108 mounted on the supporting link 103 direct light to specific positions to evaluate eye motility by analyzing how eyes track and follow target light projected by pen torch 107, facilitating diagnosis of various eye disorders and general eye motility."
