MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022373 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 22, 2024, for 'object securing device for transportation.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object securing device for transportation, comprising a set of L-shaped extendable bodies 1 positioned at base portion within a carrier of a vehicle to surround an object to be transported, a computing unit installed with a user-interface is wirelessly associated with the device for enabling a user to give input commands for securing object, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 mounted on one of bodies 1 and paired with a processor for detecting dimensions of the object, plurality of electromagnets 3 configured with free-ends of bodies 1 for locking the bodies 1 to prevent the object from moving, an inflatable member 4 installed on each of the bodies 1 and paired with an air compressor for inflating the member 4 to absorb shock upon collision of the object with the bodies 1, prevent from damage to object."
