MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025421 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'object securing device for heavy vehicle.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object securing device for heavy vehicle, comprising rectangular frame 1 attached with multiple horizontal rods 2 developed to be mapped within carrier portion of heavy vehicle and developed to accommodate multiple objects to be transported, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 mounted on frame 1 to detect number and dimensions of objects, holographic projection unit 4 mounted on frame 1 for projecting holograms to guide user in accurately positioning objects at suitable position within frame 1, multiple motorized sliders 5 attached between frame 1 and rods 2 for translating rods 2 towards/away from each other for securing objects between rods 2, multiple L-shaped links 6 each attached with suction cup 7 attached with each of rods 2 via a motorized sliding unit for translating the links 6 in a manner to grip objects via suction cups 7 thus preventing undesired motion of objects during transportation of objects through vehicle."
