MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022894 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 23, 2024, for 'object preservation assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A object preservation assistive device comprises of a frame 1 developed to be positioned on opening of a storage chamber, an artificial intelligence based image capturing module 2 installed on the frame 1 for capturing multiple images of the opening of the storage chamber, multiple extendable links 3 installed on the frame 1 that extends the links 3, motorized hinge aids the links 3 to take a shape of the opening, multiple touch sensors for determining proper positioning of the frame 1 over the opening, motorized clippers 4 for gripping body top lateral edges of the chamber firmly, a moisture sensor determines presence of moisture on user's hand while the user is accessing a flexible sheet 5 for inserting or taking out the objects, multiple electromagnetic strips 7 for closing frame 1 in order to restrict user to access objects."
