MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019771 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'object carrying assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Vinay Kumar; Dhruv Joshi; R. K. Jain; and Vandana Kanyal.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object carrying assistive device, comprising a body 1 configured with a gripping unit 2 and handle 3, an ultrasonic sensor mapped on body 1 for detecting length of rail, a projection unit 4 to project a virtual line, a camera 5 for capturing surrounding images, a laser acuity sensor mapped on body 1 for detecting length and thickness of first portion of rail, a hinge 6 integrated with gripping unit 2 to open/close gripping unit 2, multiple telescopic pins 7 integrated with gripping unit 2 to facilitate gripping of first portion of rail, an electromagnet 8 fabricated with gripping unit 2 to magnetized gripping unit 2, a speaker 9 mounted on body 1 for notifying user to manually lift rail, and a weight sensor mapped on body 1 for detecting weight of rail."
