MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087309 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 20, 2023, for 'object carriage device for bicycles.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object carriage device for bicycles comprising a platform 1 configured with a telescopically motorized clamping unit 2 that clamps seat post of bicycle in order to secure platform 1, platform 1 is accessed by user to place an object that user desires to transport, a weight sensor detecting weight of placed object for actuating a speaker 3 for generated voice commands in order to notify user to alight object to prevent damage of platform 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 determines dimension of object and synchronously microcontroller actuates a motorized sliding unit 5 for deploying a sheet around platform 1 in order to prevent falling of object from the platform 1, and a rain sensor detecting presence of rain in vicinity to platform 1 for actuating multiple inverted U-shaped links 6 hinged with platform 1 for deploying a sheet above object in order to shelter object."
