MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018724 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 3, for 'object carriage device for bicycle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An object carriage device for bicycle comprising a platform 101 having carved slit 102 covered with a plate to place an object, a C-shaped motorized expandable clamp 103 arranged with first side of platform 101 for securing platform 101 with handlebar, an imaging unit 104 mounted on platform 101 for detecting shape and dimensions of object, multiple rollers 105 installed on first side of platform 101 each wrapped with flexible sheet, a telescopically operated rod attached on either side of slit 102 for unwrapping sheets, multiple motorized hinges 107 configured with rods 106 to position free-end of sheets in contact with each-other, an electromagnet configured with free-end of each of sheets for adhering free-end of sheets with each other, two motorized sliders 108 configured with plate for translating plate to uncover slit 102, a motorized pivot joint 109 configured with first side of platform 101 to deploy a curved-shaped member 110."
