MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202321088552 A) filed by Prasad Sanjay Innocent, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Dec. 24, 2023, for 'novel sprayer and method for making and operating the same.'

Inventor(s) include Prasad Sanjay Innocent.

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to an agricultural sprayer. In novel sprayer a cylindrical shaped tank(1) holds a solutions(S) and act like wheel and can roll on ground, about its hollow axle(A) via an inventive debatable tank-propelling mechanism . The solution(S) is sucked by pump(9) via suction-pipe(7) present inside hollow axle(A) during the tank(1) being in a rolling state and then pressurized solution(S) is sprayed . So the novel sprayer provide big relief to shoulder, as only walking with a sprayer is always easier than hanging and carrying its weight. The rolling action of tank(1) ensure presence of a homogeneous solution in tank(1) and thus a homogeneous distribution of active drug on whole crop field. Weight of new propelling mechanism is lesser in comparison to old vehicle-tailed sprayer as in novel sprayer weight of heavy chassis, tank and wheels is absent. The tank(1) is acting as a wheel. Because of lesser overall weight, the novel sprayer is fuel-efficient. It is more stable than a trolley mounted tank + pump system as its center of gravity is near to ground and it can not topple down, as it is already on ground."
