MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517098434 A) filed by Caregen Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Oct. 13, for 'novel peptide having activity of retarding degradation of hyaluronic acid and uses thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Chung, Yong Ji; Kim, Eun Mi; Lee, Eung Ji; Hwang, Bobyeol; Cho, Mihee; Shin, Min Lee; and Lee, Jaeyeol.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "With the activity of promoting the activation of skin cells, the peptide of the present invention can be used for skin regeneration or skin condition improvement. In addition, the peptide of the present invention has the activity of retarding or inhibiting the degradation of hyaluronic acid by hyaluronidase and reactive oxygen species, and thus, when used in the preparation of a hyaluronic acid filler, extends the degradation time of the hyaluronic acid filler in vivo, thereby enhancing the performance of the filler."
The patent application was internationally filed on Apr. 16, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/005048.
