According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to novel hepatoprotective syrup formulations comprising betalain, a natural antioxidant isolated from beetroot, in combination with selected vitamins, minerals, and amino acid derivatives. These syrup combinations are designed to protect the liver, improve liver function, and support overall hepatic health. The formulations include betalain with tricholine citrate, B-complex vitamins, choline bitartrate, L-glutathione, L-ornithine L-aspartate, D-panthenol, or as a standalone component. The syrups are prepared by accurately weighing and mixing active ingredients with excipients, adjusting pH, ensuring solubility, and filtering to obtain a stable, homogeneous formulation suitable for oral administration. The hepatoprotective activity has been evaluated using in vivo models, demonstrating significant improvements in liver function parameters. These formulations provide a convenient, palatable, and effective therapeutic option for the management and prevention of liver disorders, including hepatitis, fatty liver disease, and cirrhosis."
