MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541133301 A) filed by Dr. Chandrashekhar V. M; Aishwarya Prakash Ambore; Lingaraj Veerabhadrappa Anwal; Mallikarjun Sunkad; Ashok Huchhappa Magdum; Mahalingappa Ramesh Jirll; Vijayalaxmi Suresh Dabbannavar; Jayadevhiremath; and Dr. Prashant Yuvaraj Mali, Bagalkote, Karnataka, on Dec. 30, 2025, for 'novel formulation of medicated cream with fortified iron oxide nanoparticles for the treatment of anemia.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention reveals a novel formulation of medicated cream with fortified iron oxide nanoparticles for the treatment of anemia thereof. More particularly, the invention relates to the preparation of novel iron oxide nanoparticles. The invention also involves characterization of developed novel iron oxide nanoparticles by Ultra-Violet (UV) Spectrophotometric, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) techniques. The invention encompasses the formulation and development of 15% and 30% novel medicated cream fortified with iron oxide nanoparticles (NFC-ION 15% & NFC-ION 30%). The invention also comprises the evaluation of 15% and 30% novel formulated medicated cream fortified with iron oxide nanoparticles by considering pH of cream. Viscosity, Homogeneity and Spreadability parameters. The invention also consists of efficacy study of 15% and 30% novel formulated medicated cream fortified with iron oxide nanoparticles against iron deficiency induced anemia in rat model by blood serum Iron Content (IC), Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC) and Ferritin Concentration (FC) factors."
