Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an automatic gas stove shut-off system designed to improve domestic kitchen safety by automatically interrupting gas supply when user absence is detected for a predetermined duration. The system comprises a gas stove integrated with one or more motion or presence detection sensors configured to continuously monitor user activity near the cooking area. An electronic control unit connected to the sensors processes the detected signals and activates a timer mechanism when no user movement is identified within the monitoring range. If the absence of user activity persists for a predefined duration, preferably between 3 to 5 minutes, the control unit actuates an automatic gas valve shut-off mechanism to terminate gas flow to the burner and extinguish the flame. The system may additionally include manual reset controls, visual or audible alert indicators, and safety override features for continued operation when required. The invention reduces the risk of accidental gas leakage, unattended cooking hazards, fire accidents, and fuel wastage in domestic and commercial kitchen environments. The device provides a practical, energy-efficient, and user-friendly safety solution capable of integration with existing gas stove systems or incorporation into newly manufactured cooking appliances.
