MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531019799 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 5, for 'nose pin removing assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A nose pin removing assistive device, comprising an elongated body 101 having a proximal and distal end 103, a handle 104 attached with proximal end 102 gripped by user to position a pair of cylindrical members 105 configured with distal end 103 near nose pin worn by user, an imaging unit 106 installed over body 101 determines dimensions of nose pin, an iris lid 107 installed with opening of each member's 105 for accommodating top and bottom portion of nose pin, a pair of motorized sliding unit 108 installed over inner periphery of each member's 105 position a motorized gripper 109 configured with each sliding unit 108 around top and bottom portion of nose pin, further grippers 109 grip top and bottom portion followed by re-actuation of sliding units 108 to translate grippers 109 in upward direction for detaching top and bottom portion of nose pin."
