MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517059842 A) filed by Jfe Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on June 23, for 'non-oriented magnetic steel sheet with excellent punching workability.'
Inventor(s) include Suehiro Ryuichi; Okubo Tomoyuki; Zaizen Yoshiaki; Saito Hayato; and Miyamoto Yukino.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This non-oriented magnetic steel sheet with low iron loss and excellent punching workability is composed of components comprising (in terms of mass%) 0.0050% or less of C, 2.5%-6.5% of Si, 0.05%-2.0% of Mn, 0.10% or less of P, 0.0050% or less of S, 0.30%-2.0% of Al, 0.010% or less of N, 0.00010%-0.010% of Pb, and 0.0005%-0.020% of Zn, wherein the ratio [Zn]/[Pb] between the content (mass%) of Pb and the content (mass%) of Zn is 1.58 or more; and when the particle diameter distribution of secondary phase particles which are present within a sheet thickness cross section in the rolling direction and have a particle diameter of 0.10 m or more and less than 5.00 m is represented by a histogram in which diameters are classified, the particle number density is used as the frequency, and the bin width is 0.10 m, pinning force of a magnetic wall calculated through formula (3) from the particle diameter distribution is 0.0015 or less, wherein di is the class value (m) of class i, and Nsi is the frequency (number/m2) of class i."
The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 30, 2023, under International application No.PCT/JP2023/039033.
