MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441028304 A) filed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on April 5, 2024, for 'non-noble metal impregnated 2d-zeolite isodewaxing catalyst, preparation process thereof, hydroisomerisation method for producing winter diesel.'

Inventor(s) include Ramesh, Kanaparthi; Gaur, Rashmi; Shrivastava, Vipul; Valavarasu, Gnanasekaran; Sriram, Sundararaman; and Maheshwari, Vipul Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an isodewaxing catalyst comprising non-noble metals impregnated on an extruded zeolite support and its process for preparation thereof. Further, it relates to Hydroisomerisation of straight chain diesel feed into branched chain diesel without compromising much of the diesel yield and Cetane number/ Cetane index. It also relates to simultaneous decreasing of PP, CP, CFPP of diesel to the extent at which it can be used below -38 ? climatic conditions."
