MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521117139 A) filed by Rajarambapu Institute Of Technology, Sangli, Maharashtra, on Nov. 26, 2025, for 'non-lethal multi-functional safety stick for deterrence, illumination, and environmental protection applications.'
Inventor(s) include Mr. Dhairyashil Mali; Dr. Amol Chandrakant Adamuthe; and Mrs. Reva Patil.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention describes a multi-functional modular safety stick combining multiple non-lethal deterrent systems for personal protection in rural and forest settings. The device comprises a high-intensity torch module with rotatable optics, a spray module with an electronically controlled diaphragm pump and adjustable nozzle, an audible alarm module generating 90-120 dB sound within 0.5-3 kHz, a retractable stainless-steel spike delivering a pulsed microcurrent below 100 V/1 mA, and a vibration generator module producing 50-80 Hz ground vibrations. All modules are powered and managed by a microcontroller-based lithium-ion battery system housed in an impact-resistant, ingress-protected shaft. The synergistic interaction of these modules yields a multi-sensory deterrence mechanism, offering effective, non-lethal defense for users such as farmers, forest guards, and trekkers against wild animals or environmental threats."
