MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641044338 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 7, for 'non invasive sweat based inflammatory load monitoring patch for endurance athletes.'

The invention comprises a flexible skinadherable patch embedded with sweat-responsive sensing clements configured to detect inflammatory and physiological indicators such as electrolyte itrtbalance trends, temperature variation, hydration status, and inflammation-associated biomarkers. The system provides real- 1 time visual or wireless feedback indicating rising intlammatory stress that may impair ' I endurance performance, recovery capacity, or increase injury .risk. The patch is lightweight, ' i comfortable, and suitable for prolonged use during training_ or competition, enabling proactive I performance management and injury prevention."
