MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517069512 A) filed by Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha; and Denso Corporation, Aichi, Japan, on July 21, for 'non-contact power feeding system during traveling, power feeding device, and power reception device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The purpose of the present invention is to clarify how to resume a road-side power supply device after power outage of the road-side power supply device, and thereby achieve both safety and efficiency in resuming a power transfer process after power outage. This dynamic non-contact power supply system supplies power in a non-contact manner from a road-side power supply device to a moving vehicle mounted with a vehicle-side power receiving device. The road-side power supply device comprises: a first communication device that can perform wide-range wireless communication with the vehicle-side power receiving device; a second communication device that can perform short-range wireless communication with the vehicle-side power receiving device; and an abnormality determination unit that determines an abnormality of the road-side power supply device. If the abnormality determination unit has determined the occurrence of the abnormality, the road-side power supply device is caused to perform a predetermined operation."
