MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517058870 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on June 19, for 'non-aqueous electrolyte and lithium secondary battery comprising same.'

Inventor(s) include Oh, Young Ho; Ahn, Kyoung Ho; Lee, Chul Haeng; Han, Jun Hyeok; Jeong, You Kyeong; and Ko, Yoon Seok.

The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a non-aqueous electrolyte comprising a lithium salt, an organic solvent, and an additive, wherein the additive includes at least one selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by the following chemical formulae 1 and 2. In chemical formula 1, n1 is an integer of 0 to 18. In chemical formula 2, n2 is an integer of 0 to 18, and L is an alkylene group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms."

The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 22, 2023, under International application No.PCT/KR2023/021391.
