MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004744 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 23, 2024, for 'noise cancellation-enabled confined space for focus-based work.'

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A noise cancellation-enabled confined space for focus-based work, comprising an enclosure 1 suspended on a rail by means of four L-shaped rods 2 each integrated with a clamping unit 3, a proximity sensor integrated on enclosure 1 detects presence of a user, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 integrated on enclosure 1 which determines facial features of user for verification purpose, an extendable ladder 5 arranged at base of enclosure 1 which extends to allow user to climb, a motorized gate 6 integrated on enclosure 1 to get opened for allowing user to enter within the enclosure 1, a noise-cancellation based layer 7 fabricated on wall of enclosure 1 to reduce surrounding noise for preventing any disturbances to the user, and a temperature regulating module is integrated within the enclosure 1 for monitoring and regulating temperature inside the enclosure 1 as per the user's comfort."
