MUMBAI, India, Jan. 23 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521122614 A) filed by Mamata Machinery Limited, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on Dec. 5, 2025, for 'nitrogen flushing mechanism for horizontal form fill seal machine.'
Inventor(s) include Patel Snehal Kanaiyalal; and Bhut Sandip Jadavbhai.
The application for the patent was published on Jan. 23, under issue no. 04/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Nitrogen flushing mechanism (40) of horizontal form fill seal machine (10) includes first nitrogen flushing unit (50) and second nitrogen flushing unit (60) movable in opposite directions along linear guides (170, 180)-the movement caused by common servo drive mechanism (110). The maximum distance (75) between nitrogen flushing nozzle (70) of the first nitrogen flushing unit (50) and nitrogen flushing nozzle (80) of the second nitrogen flushing unit (60) is equivalent to one indexing pitch of conveyor (31). Nitrogen is flushed inside a product-filled open-un-puckered pouch during forward movement (210) of the first nitrogen flushing unit (50) or forward movement of the second nitrogen flushing unit (60). Flushing nitrogen inside the successive product-filled open-un-puckered pouches during the forward movement (210) alternating between the first nitrogen flushing unit (50) and the second nitrogen flushing unit (60) continues."
