MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517046117 A) filed by Nippon Yakin Kogyo Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on May 13, for 'ni-cu alloy with excellent surface properties and production method therefor.'

[Solution] An Ni-Cu alloy comprising, in terms of mass%, 0.01-0.20% C, 0.01-0.5% Si, 0.01-2% Mn, up to 0.03% P, 28-40% Cu, 0.01-1% Cr, 0.3-3% Fe, 0.01-0.5% Al, 0.01-0.40% Ti, up to 0.010% N, 0.005-0.04% Mg, 0.0005-0.04% Ca, 0.0003-0.005% O, 0.0001-0.002% S, and Ni and unavoidable impurities as the remainder, the mass concentrations of Ti, N, and C satisfying the following relationship.
