MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517095990 A) filed by Zte Corporation, Guangdong, China, on Oct. 6, for 'new radio denial-of-service (dos) attack defense method and apparatus.'

Inventor(s) include Feng, Chao; and He, Baomin.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a new radio denial-of-service (DoS) attack defense method and apparatus. The method comprises: in response to a new radio DoS attack initiated by a UE, positioning the UE which initiated the new radio DoS attack so as to obtain the position information of the UE; and according to the position information, adjusting the beam coverage area of a base station, so as to exclude from the beam coverage range the UE which initiated the new radio DoS attack."
