MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517054462 A) filed by Sahin, Fikrettin, Istanbul, on June 5, for 'new polymer-based hemostatic formulations provided with anti microbial, anti-viral and anti-inflammatory properties and production method thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Sahin, Fikrettin; Demir, Sevda; Toman, Seda; and Kalkan, Melis.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a production method for gel formulations with hemostatic (bleeding stopping) effect, which provide anti-microbial, anti-viral, anti-inflammatory and contain lavender (Lavandula spp.) oil. The objective of the invention is to develop formulations that can be safely used in the treatment of minor bleeding injuries, emergency response situations, surgical cuts and military injuries and burns."
The patent application was internationally filed on Dec. 05, 2022, under International application No.PCT/TR2022/051412.
