MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611001199 A) filed by Ct University, Ludhiana, Punjab, on Jan. 6, for 'neutraceutical gummies of iron and process thereof.'
Inventor(s) include Kaunava Roy Chowdhury; Dr. Nitin Tandon; Dr. Daisy Sharma; Dr. Sanjana Bhatia; Manpreet Singh; and Anureet.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a novel composition and method for producing spinach-based chewable gummies designed to deliver essential nutrients derived from spinach (Spinacia oleracea), including but not limited to iron, folate, vitamins A, C, E, and K, as well as antioxidants and dietary fiber. The gummies provide a palatable, convenient, and bioavailable alternative to traditional spinach consumption, particularly beneficial for children, the elderly, or individuals with dietary restrictions. The composition ensures preservation of spinach's phytonutrients through optimized processing and combines it with natural sweeteners and flavoring agents to enhance taste and adherence to daily supplementation."
