MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511104196 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 29, 2025, for 'neuro-biochar interface system: ai-powered wearable neurostimulation for cognitive enhancement and emotional management.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ramandeep Sandhu; and Sandeep Chouhan.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A Neuro-Biochar Interface System (100) comprising biochar-based electrode arrays (102) integrated into a wearable headband (116) for non-invasive neural stimulation, an EEG signal acquisition module (106) for real-time neural monitoring, a neurostimulation pulse generator (108) to deliver dynamically controlled electrical pulses, a hybrid energy harvesting unit (110) converting body heat and ambient electromagnetic fields into power, and a microcontroller with embedded AI processor (112) for adaptive neurofeedback. A wireless communication module (114) interfaces with a mobile application for brainwave visualization, stimulation customization, and progress tracking. The system (100) provides eco-friendly, biocompatible, and modular neural interfacing for cognitive enhancement, emotional regulation, and sleep improvement, while minimizing reliance on conventional batteries and maximizing comfort and long-term wear."
