MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202537091868 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Sept. 25, for 'network device.'

Inventor(s) include Feng, Xin; Lin, Huajiong; Ma, Chuanhui; Zhao, Yanqing; and Chen, Yan.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments of the present application provide a network device, comprising: a processing module, a signal transmission module, an antenna module, and a phase modulation module. The signal transmission module is electrically connected to the processing module and the antenna module, separately, the signal transmission module is used for transmitting to the antenna module a signal sent by the processing module, and the signal transmission module is used for transmitting to the processing module a signal received by the antenna module; the antenna module comprises M antennas, the spacing between two adjacent antennas among the M antennas is half of a target wavelength, and the M antennas are arranged in a planar distribution; the phase modulation module is electrically connected to the processing module, the phase modulation module is located on a plane perpendicular to a radiation direction of the antenna module, the phase modulation module comprises a plurality of phase modulation units, and the phase modulation module is used for modulating, according to a control signal of the processing module, the wavefront phases of signals transmitted or received by the M antennas. The network device can meet the requirements for a communication function and a sensing function at the same time."

The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 22, 2024, under International application No.PCT/CN2024/083217.
