MUMBAI, India, April 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517127363 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on Dec. 16, 2025, for 'negative electrode for lithium secondary battery and method of manufacturing same.'

Inventor(s) include Noh, Suk In; and Lee, Yong Ju.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a negative electrode, a method of manufacturing same, and a lithium secondary battery to which the negative electrode is applied. In the negative electrode, CMC binders having different molecular weights are applied to first and second negative electrode active layers, and the degree of orientation of negative electrode active materials is individually controlled. Accordingly, the negative electrode exhibits excellent adhesion between a current collector and the active layer, and improves charging performance when applied to a lithium secondary battery."

The patent application was internationally filed on Sept. 23, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/014252.
