MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517093073 A) filed by Ningde Amperex Technology Limited, Fujian, China, on Sept. 28, for 'negative electrode active material, secondary battery, and electronic device.'
Inventor(s) include Jin, Wenbo; and Dong, Jiali.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a negative electrode active material, which comprises a carbon-based material, wherein the surface of the carbon-based material comprises sodium and oxygen, the atomic percent of sodium is X, the atomic percent of oxygen is Y, Y/X=3.0, and X and Y are obtained by means of testing with an X-ray spectrometer. In the present application, by controlling the contents of sodium and oxygen on the surface of the carbon-based material within a certain range, the quality of an SEI film can be effectively improved, such that a secondary battery shows good cycle performance. Further provided is a secondary battery comprising the negative electrode active material."
