MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511115502 A) filed by Nims University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Nov. 22, 2025, for 'natural polyherbal topical ointment.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A polyherbal ointment composition (100) and a method (200) for its preparation, intended for topical dermatological application. The composition comprises a synergistic mixture (101) of standardized extracts consisting of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, Mimosa pudica, and Eucalyptus globulus, incorporated into a natural ointment base (102) prepared from non-synthetic ingredients. The synergistic mixture (101) is configured to provide a broad-spectrum therapeutic effect against dermatological ailments including wounds, burns, rashes, inflammation, and microbial infections. The method (200) includes steps of collecting and processing plant materials (201), preparing standardized extracts (202), formulating a natural ointment base at 40 C-45 C (203), incorporating the extracts in a predetermined ratio (204), and stirring to obtain a homogeneous composition (205). The invention provides enhanced efficacy, safety, and stability compared to prior art formulations, offering a natural, eco-friendly, and user-friendly dermatological solution suitable for both small-scale and industrial production."
