MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011141 A) filed by Dr. Sachin Dev Munjal; and Dr. Yogita Munjal, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 17, 2024, for 'naso-jejunal feeding tube placement device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention relates to field of medicine and endoscopy, more particularly, the present invention discloses a device which is configured to place naso-jejunal feeding tube quickly and more efficiently, herein disclosed device provides a straight path directly to the duodenum and jejunum and thus prevents the coiling of wire and tube and therefore increases the success rate (100%) and decreases the time of procedure (10min vs 40 min average) and thus decreases procedure stress and pain and morbidity to the patient."
