MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511113379 A) filed by UPES, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, on Nov. 18, 2025, for 'nano-liposomal composition and preparation method thereof.'

Inventor(s) include Priyanka Uniyal; Dr. Ravi Rawat; Dr. Prashant Shukla; Dr. Partha Roy; Siddhartha Das Pramanik; and Swadha.

The application for the patent was published on Jan. 9, under issue no. 02/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A nano-liposomal composition comprising Tamoxifen, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, at least one phytoconstituent selected from the group consisting of Naringin and Diosmetin, and a liposomal carrier comprising a phospholipid and cholesterol, wherein Tamoxifen and the at least one phytoconstituent are co-encapsulated within the liposomal carrier in a pre-determined ratio, the pre-determined ratio of Tamoxifen to Naringin being 1:2, the pre-determined ratio of Tamoxifen to Diosmetin being 1:2, or the pre-determined ratio of Tamoxifen to Naringin to Diosmetin being 1:2:2. The invention also provides a method for preparing the nano-liposomal composition by preparing an ethanolic lipid phase, injecting the ethanolic lipid phase into an aqueous phase, and subjecting the formed nano-liposomes to sonication, wherein the aqueous phase is MilliQ water."
