Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION MUTE MATE INCLUSIVE COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES FOR REMOTE WORK AND LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS Mute Mate aims at revolutionizing communication for. the hearing and speech impaired, developing an accessible video call platform. The innovation central to this is in the area of advanced real-time technologies such as sign language recognition. Using computer vision, the platform will translate sign language into spoken or written words, hence bridging the gap in 15 communication between users. This feature ensures inclusivity and facilitates effortless interaction between deaf or non-verbal individuals with others. 20 25 The platform will also feature Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) live transcription, which provides instant text transcription of spoken words during video calls. In addition, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools with embedded Natural Language Processing (NLP) will convert text or symbols into speech, enabling non-verbal individuals to express themselves effectively. With two-way translation capabilities- from speech to text or sign language-Mute Mate ensuressmooth communication and accessibility for all users. With its user-friendly interface and strong privacy and security measures, Mute Mate has been designed to put the needs of people with communication disorders first. The platform is oriented toward an inclusive environment by enhancing social integration and improving the quality of life for its users.
