MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544025649 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on March 20, for 'musim gap configuration.'

Inventor(s) include Bent Henneberg Rysgaard; Rafael Cauduro Dias De Paiva; and Lars Dalsgaard.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Example embodiments of the present disclosure provide a solution for configuring a multi-universal subscriber identity module (MUSIM) gap. In an example method, a terminal device receives, from a network device, a configuration of at least one MUSIM gap. The configuration indicates a MUSIM inverse gap comprising a first duration related to restricted scheduling at a start of the MUSIM gap and a second duration related to restricted scheduling at an end of the MUSIM gap. The terminal device communicates with the network device based on the configuration. In this way, based on the above mentioned configuration, both the network device and the UE can be aware of any scheduling restriction(s), while minimizing change to MUSIM operations and having minimum impact to corresponding signaling."
